Emotional, physical, and sexual violence between partners impacts family dynamics and stability. These effects the entire family system and could mean an increase in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Domestic Violence Crisis Calls Data Breakdown

Status: Green

Definition: The YWCA operates a crisis call center in Elkhart County. Calls to the Crisis Call Center are generally regarding domestic violence and/or personal safety concerns. These calls may include duplicate calls.

Methodology

Methodology: We use the absolute number of crisis calls each month to obtain quarterly totals. The quarter totals are compared to the previous quarter to determine the trend direction.

Goal: To observe fewer Domestic Violence Crisis Calls compared to the previous quarter.

Traffic Light:

Green: less than 1 call increase in Crisis Calls compared to previous quarter

Gray: within +/- 1 call compared to previous quarter

Red: more than 1 call increase in Crisis Calls compared to previous quarter

Indicators in Action


The ‘Data Action Mini Grant’ program will provide low barrier grants to collaborating partners which will help increase cross-system collaboration and facilitate the community response to needs and/or gaps identified through the Elkhart County Child Dashboard. Applicants may request up to $2,000. Two or more applicants can collaborate for collaborative action based upon one or more data indicators and increase the grant request. By leveraging the ‘Data Action Mini Grant’ program partners can have a platform that helps to inform community goals and creates a stronger sustainability platform for their programs.
